I am not familiar with plastic pipes but recently have to use ABS pipes for a project. In order to taper down ABS straight pipes from 355mm OD to 315mm OD, should I use a reducing socket or reducing bush? Both items in the required dimensions are available in the catalogue.

RE: Reducers
By the way what standard are you using for ABS and what catalogue? Given the metric dimensions I would hazard a guess at AS3518 and Tyco Eurapipe's product.

The standard ABS fittings such as tees and tapers are not as comprehensive, in terms of available dimensions, as MSCL or DI products but according to the supplier, they custom made to order. I am still more comfortable using MSCL or DI products.
