Hi All,

is it correct to say that the thickness range for a WPS goes from 5mm to 50 mm knowing that:

a pqr was performed for each process ( ie: PQR1 with mcaw and thk of coupon is 14mm, the second pqr with fcaw and thk of coupon is 20 mm and the third pqr with saw and thk of coupon is 25 mm)

I assume you're talking about three separate PQR's. If you want to combine them to support a single WPS, qualified base thickness is limited by the thinner of them.
The PQR for SAW would support a WPS for 'T' - 5 mm to 50 mm.
By mcaw, do you mean FCAW?

MCAW: metal instead of Flux but similar to FCAW

you mean in the example above the thickness of base metal qualified to mark down in the combined processes WPS would be 5 to 28 mm?

is there an article number refering to that in ASME IX?

I should have started by asking you to clarify which code you're working to. I had assumed ASME Sec IX. If that's correct the variables you'll be using are under GMAW which covers solid, metal and flux cored wires.
It's fine to combine these three processes in one joint, but, you'll need to review the essential variables ( and supplementary essential variables if this is an impact tested application) as they apply to each process, and adhere to them.
As an example, your PQR for FCAW on 20 mm plate which per QW451.1 would cover you to 2T or 40 mm, does not extend to cover the GMAW process ( metal core) to 40 mm because the consumables are considered to be different product forms. See QW 404.23. There may be other variables that need to be considered also.
Depending on P# there are some allowances for dissimilar thickness joints which may help you depending on the specifics. You can review these in QW 202.
