Feature Groups and timestamp oreder?? NX7.5

Feature Groups and timestamp oreder?? NX7.5

Feature Groups and timestamp oreder?? NX7.5

(OP)
My self and others in my group have been experiencing some unexpected things with feature groups and time stamp order....

Sometime when going back and making the feature group active to make some changes or additions to the group we noticed when upon making it inactive members of the feature group will either completely come out of the feature group or they will go to the bottom of the time stamp order or to a random spot on the tree? We have tried making the the last feature in the group the "current feature" but again upon making the last feature in the part navigator the current feature, the feature group members or the whole feature group will go out of order?

I feel as though there must be a combination of making the feature group active along with making a feature the "current feature" that is creating these issues....or maybe I don't fully understand what is happening/what it means to make the feature group active and what affects it has on the time-stamp order.

So I guess I'm wondering what does it truly mean to make a feature group active and where in the time-stamp order do new features go?? I was under the impression that making the feature group active places new features right below the feature group for their time stamp order (kinda like making it the current feature). Is it necessary to make the last feature in the group the "current feature" first prior to making the group active??

Any explanations would be greatly appreciated

Any one???

RE: Feature Groups and timestamp oreder?? NX7.5

We've made some changes to this behavior starting with NX 8.0. Perhaps you may consider upgrading and looking at the changes which were made.

Might have made changes in 8 but still no documentation on what making the group active actually does... got some feedback from GTAC and they shared the 8.5 docs with me but I still does not explain what happens with the time stamp order and or why the time stamp order just goes random depending on if the group is active/inactive and why features that were created when the group is active will some time come out of the group upon making it inactive.
