Problem with Plan32

Problem with Plan32

Problem with Plan32

(OP)
Hi Guys...
I am having pump using mechanical seal with API Plan32.
The problem here is we need a operating pressure of 2 barg and flow of 10LPM.
But in this case if flow is set to 10LPM then pressure reduces to almost zero & if we set the pressure as
2 barg then the flow increases much beyond the recommended of 10LPM.
Tell me what to do?
If any more data needed pls do ask.
The box pressure is 0.01 barg.
The upstream pressure for plan32 is 7 barg.
Pls guys ASAP.

RE: Problem with Plan32

For Plan 32 , as long as you are getting the flow rate it will be OK.
You can reduce the throat bushing clearance if there is one to increase the seal chamber pressure.
