Datum target representation on drawing

Datum target representation on drawing

Datum target representation on drawing

(OP)
Hello all,
My company is an NX house, but has taken on a contract to reproduce a data package in Pro/E Wildfire 4.0.
We have struggled, but have produced sample drawings that are passing all Modelcheck tests. We are now faced with some detail questions regarding how we represent datum targets on a drawing.

Our current method:
In the model:
Create datum points that represent the datum target location.
Create a sketch in the drawing, using the datum points above, to create the circular zones (and the diameter dimensions required to populate the target symbol).
In the drawing:
Show the related dimensions from the sketch (location and diameters)
Create a draft datum > target with the circular option.
Pick the sketch circle and it's diameter dimension to populate the target symbol.

The issues:
Sometimes the target symbol doesn't point to directly to the centerpoint of the target circle in side views. (I know, not the best practice, but this is our customer's wish)
How do we cross-hatch the circle marking the target zone in other views? Fill doesn't appear to do anything except turn the circle magenta. Edit > Hatch/Fill is grayed out.

Does anyone know of a work around for these issues in Wildfire 4.0?
Many thanks in advance!
