Hi,

I am looking to qualify a temper bead welding procedure for 2.25 Cr 1 Mo material for a client.
After welding using a temper bead run placement, should I carry out PWHT as per code applicable to material or would that be defeating the purpose of trying to prove the temper bead process actual works in the first place?

No you would you perform PWHT because you are trying to qualify a weld repair method that avoids the need for PWHT.
