Curious about BMW's Soft Close Automatic

Curious about BMW's Soft Close Automatic

(OP)
I own a 2011 BMW 550i with the "Soft Close Automatic" door. This feature uses motors and latches to automatically close the door on a car, even if you did not slam the door hard enough for it to completely shut. Being the car nerd and computer geek that I am, I wonder if anyone knows what is the microcontroller that controls this feature? I know its not the BCM, but it has to be one of the other units. Let me know if any of you know which unit it is.
