Please estimate gas flow rate

Please estimate gas flow rate

(OP)
I need to estimate the flow rate of methane gas. From the CH4 tank, I regulate pressure to 2-3 psi. This is fed to a bunsen burner. I further choke the flow (by turning the flow know of the burner) so that flame height is only about an inch. All tubings are 1/4" id.

I am going to buy a mass flow sensor to measure the exact flow rate. But the flow sensor comes in different flow rate ranges. I need an educated guestimate. Thank you.

RE: Please estimate gas flow rate

Probably going to be around 5 to 15 cubic feet per hour.

You folks are awesome. Thanks.

A follow-up question. Actually, I need to measure flame temp and heat amount. For flame temp, can I use a thermocouple? For heat amount, can I assume a complete combustion of CH4? Thanks.
