Have a look at File - Export Part. There's an option Drawing Selection.

Best regards,

Export a CGM of the dwg you want to import on another dwg.

On the file you want to import to, create a new view in the modeling application, for example "test".
Switch to Drafting and add the view "test" to your current drawing. You might make sure the CGM is only on one specific layer so you can
turn all other layers off on your drawing for the "test" view.

Your CGM will add a lot of entities, depending on the content of course. But you will get a clear drawing, unlike using a JPEG or TIF image, using "Inert -> Image".

But you can move the "test" view, resize it to meet your space.

This might be old school but the option is still there for us to use.

Current version: NX 7.5
