Foundation/Footing Reference Guide

I'm beginning to study for the PE exam and do not have a great deal of experience in designing Foundations and Footings. I am looking for a textbook/design guide that will present the theory behind foundation and footing design along with detailed example problems (preferably compliant with ACI 318-05 and newer). Any advice and suggestions are welcome, and thank you in advance.
