Hello, I am in section 9 of ASME and am trying to determine the types of testing that is required for a new weld procedure. Maybe I have over looked something, but to me it is not clear on the types of teating required. Can someone please get me going in the right direction. Thanks all
John

RE: Type of testing required for ASME weld procedure on P8 material.

If it's a groove or fillet weld you want to qualify on review the Table QW 451.1.

I should clarify that fillets could be qualified without a groove weld. Look at QW 451.3 if that's a better fit for you.
