Books on Masonry Design?
(OP)
I would appreciate suggestions on your favorite books for masonry design. It seems that I am seeing more and more masonry walls with nearly as much reinforcing as concrete walls. I assume this is the result of "advances" in engineering, code changes (that IBC 2000 is a bear!) or is it that we engineers are getting too conservative?

RE: Books on Masonry Design?
If you're seeing more re-bar than before it's probably code related, not because engineers are being more conservative just for the sake of being more conservative.
