We build a high speed 3ph 220vac inductive motor using a rotor with copper bars and end rings (about 1.5" in diameter). Historically we have used C110 copper for the end rings but it is terrible to machine and drill. I would like to switch to c145 as it is much easier to machine. Question: is this material also suitable for electric motors? I will probably try a sample and see if there is a measurable difference on a completed motor. But any input is much appreciated.

According to info gleaned off the internet:

Electrical Resistivity of 110: 10.3 (microhm-cm at 68 Deg F)
Electrical Resistivity of 145: 11.2

110 is what they make buss bar from
145 is what they use for switch knives.
