AutoCad Question

(OP)
How do you copy one dwg into another dwg so you can put the two in the same model space.Or is it possible im using autocad 2013LT

RE: AutoCad Question

Attach as an external reference (xref). Then you can bind it and explode it if you need to modify. By the way, there is an AutoCAD forum on eng-tips: http://eng-tips.com/threadminder.cfm?pid=555

Good on ya,

thank you,

RE: AutoCad Question

The Xref option may not be available in LT. You can insert one complete drawing into another as a block. That's the quickest and easiest way I know of.

RE: AutoCad Question

Jboggs, true that insert-as-block is simplest, but xref will include changes made to the imported drawing on next open. It's available in LT (that's what we have).
