Of the top of your heads,
what are the main reasons for spongy shrinkage in Ductile iron?

Thanks,

Spongy shrinkage is also referred to as secondary shrinkage or interdendritic shrinkage. Probable causes for these defects could be high C.E, heavy section thickness, weak mold strength .Hope it helps.
