combining part

(OP)
Hello

From an assembly, How can i combine (unite) several bodies (each in a part file) into one unique body (and part)?

RE: combining part

In the assembly, use Insert>Associative Copy>Promote Body and promote all the parts in the assembly. You can then select these bodies as you would normally do for a Unite feature.

If you want to break all ties to the component parts, you can delete the component parts from the assembly. You will still see the promoted bodies and the unite you created. If you then use Edit>Feature>Remove Parameters and select the united solid, you will be left with a dumb solid that is no longer parametric or linked in any way to the original component parts.
