Any idea where I can learn the above software in the Southern California (San Diego) region? I am EE interested in learning the software as I see a lot of job postings that require some kind of modeling experience. I feel like this is a good skill to have even if I don't need to use it in my current role.

Thanks

In the San Diego region your best bet is Palomar College at San Marcos. Their Solidworks course number is DT128 for the introductory course.
I learned to do Solidworks At San Dieguito academy on an ROP course in 2000. I checked tonight and found that they are now only offering Autocad.

1. Check with local community colleges and the like to see if they run any classes.

2. Check with local VAR's - which I suspect from ctophers post may be GoEngineer http://www.solidworks.com/sw/SolidWorksOfficeWorld...

The other VAR in San Diego is Digital Dimensions, Inc. <sales@ddicad.ccsend.com>
They run courses, but you pay for them .
