Step-by-step design examples of Horizontally Curved Highway Bridges developed through NCHRP 12-52—updated to the 2005 LRFD Bridge Design Specifications, these examples supersede the examples from the 2003 AASHTO Guide Specifications for Horizontally Curved Steel Girder Highway Bridges with Design Examples for I-Girder and Box-Girder Bridges. Updated examples include a curved box-girder bridge as well as a curved I-girder bridge.
This item is provided through the AASHTO Archives as a historical document for those interested in the evolution of highway standards and specifications.
It does not represent current technical information
The AASHTO current specs proper will cover other instances of curved I girders for bridge applications.
