Interpretation of AMS 2681B para 4.3.2

Interpretation of AMS 2681B para 4.3.2

Interpretation of AMS 2681B para 4.3.2

(OP)
AMS 2681 B para 4.3.2 states that "For Procedure Certification: Not less than three welds for proeceudre certification representative of each joint in the part or assebly. When test welds are made on actual hardware, one part may be welded for procedure certification". Do you interpret this to mean that if we use a test joint that is only representative of the actual joint that we are required to have at least three welds performed, however if we use an actual part we only need one weld performed?

RE: Interpretation of AMS 2681B para 4.3.2

Well that's ambiguous as all hell isn't it.
