Calculation of max payload of a container

Calculation of max payload of a container

Calculation of max payload of a container

(OP)
Dear all,

I am going to design an offshore container for carriage of gas bottles.
I use the DNV standard for certification 2.7-1.

Could anyone advise how i calculate the maximum payload of my container?

The tare mass is the sum of all weights of the structure, but how i know the max payload of the container i design? Do i have to calculate using another software?

Appreciate your help

RE: Calculation of max payload of a container

presumably you could deifine a payload, analyze the structure, determine your min MS, and revise payload to have min MS = 0.00

RE: Calculation of max payload of a container

Usually its listed as a gross weight correct? I would not re-invent the container, find one that meets your design load. There are many mfg out there.
