i am about to take my CWI and I am wondering what I should take it on. API 1104 or D1.1. what would be more useful in my carer. i know the CWI doesn't show what code you took it on I just want to Better my knowledge.

Thank You,
AS<BH

RE: CWI

To add to this, I know the API codes very well, i was in NDT for 5 years and now i am in a Quality Assurance Position.

RE: CWI

Agreed that the CWI does not show which code portion was selected for the test. Having said that, I have run across employers that would not consider a candidate who did not take the [fill in the blank: D1.1, Section IX, API 1104] portion of the test, which is a bit short sighted.

Freom my perspective, take the code portion that you feel most comfortable with in the field that you expect to be employed. If you like at some point down the road, you can take a differnent code section with subsequent renewals.
