I have a doubt regarding how do we take spread in case of single row angular contact bearings?
Any information regarding this would of great help to me.

1 - What do you mean by "spread"

2 - If it means endplay or float, we can give you some ideas (EASA has a lot of info). In simplest form, usually you just move the shaft over it's limit of travel and measure. But it can be tricky. Would help to know the exact bearing configuration (how many angle contacts, are they back to back or duplex, how is upthrust handled)

One tricky question comes when the outer race is supported by springs strong enough to lift the rotor. Then do you count end play as distance between forced up and released? Our shop said yes. I say no, it is distance between forced up and forced down (below normal uncoupled height) because that is the range it may see under varying thrust conditions in service. Most seals may tolerate much more movement, but if not sure it's better to play it safe imo

The bearing configuration consists of 2 angular contact bearings placed back to back.
