Time temperature superposition

Time temperature superposition

Time temperature superposition

(OP)
Hi,

I am trying to evaluate viscoelastic properties of a polymer through dynamic mechanical analysis. I am using time temperature superposition principle to evaluate properties at extended frequency. I am wondering if there is any formula that relates temperature with time (or frequency) which I can use in deciding the temperature range I should test for a desired frequency range?

Thank you.

Regards
pat

RE: Time temperature superposition

That equation gives relation to shift factor. What I am looking for is time and temperature OR frequency and temperature. Before I even start doing experiment I should have an idea upto what temperature I have to test to be able to shift data to desired frequency.

For e.g. I want data up to 10,000 Hz so what is the minimum temperature I should test ?

Thank you.
Pat
