(OP)
Does anybody know a way to cut/paste from a PDF File.
There are detail connection diagrams in PLC & Instrument Manuals which I would like to cut and paste into ACAD for my construction documents.
Has anybody done this?

I use the detailed layout diagrams etc. which show wiring connections, recommended cable termination details, connector details.....you get the picture. To detail this type of information freehand takes considerable amount of time and was hoping to just import into drawing and massage it for my purpose.

Just try this, open the PDF file in acrobat reader and zoom your picture or diagram to required size then press the "Print screen" button. The entire screen image will be copied to clip board. You can cut the required portion after pasting it in to any paint program.
Hope this will help you.
