Baldor Generators

Baldor Generators

(OP)
Anyone have any experience with Baldor Generators? The local sales rep made a pitch for them a couple of years ago and we've been asked by the electrical contractor on a project if we would accept one. I know they've made fine motors for decades but haven't seen their generators installed in this area, SE United States.

RE: Baldor Generators

Size? Prime mover? Totally built by Baldor or assembled with a Baldor generator end?
Features and instrumentation?

350kW, diesel, standby in WP enclosure, built by Baldor, I think they use John Deere engines.

RE: Baldor Generators

Baldor got into the generator business in 2000 by buying a company called Pow'r Guard in Oshkosh Wisc., so they've been at it a while now under the Baldor name. Pow'r Guard had a decent reputation for rental and mil spec generators before that.
