If you have an existing light source and you add another new light source over the existing, are the foot-candle readings cumulative

RE: Light and foot-candle readings

Yes.

Thanks. Do you have any suggested lighting design guides, manuals, etc.?

RE: Light and foot-candle readings

Not at hand. There must be manuals on the 'net. Add the search term pdf to the other obvious keywords; that'll typically help the formal guidebooks and manuals float to the top of the search results.

If you're doing a big project, it's well worth while establishing contact with the support engineers at several suppliers. They'll typically be very happy to provide information and advice in exchange for an opportunity to bid.

Standby in case other lurkers have advice.
