Automatice Rectangle View Boundary using Section Line

NX 7.5

In the help it states that you can use a section line to define an automatic rectangle. In many of our drawings we have the parent view that has a section line down the middle for another view, but we only want to see half of the parent drawing, as everything is symmetric. Is there a way to do this? The key is that we want it to automatically update the size of the view if the object changes size, so manual rectangle is not an option. We are confused that the help states that this can be done with automatic rectangle.

From the Help:

Automatic Rectangle – Lets you define a view boundary which automatically resizes after model updates. This option is used when you want to show all of the geometry in a particular view. It is also used when you want to have a section line of a section view determine the view boundary.

Are we reading this wrong?

Thanks,
Chase Wichert
