Mate References - Coincident & Concentric

Mate References - Coincident & Concentric

Mate References - Coincident & Concentric

(OP)
Hi All,

For washers and similar parts, the mate references that is generated when one selects the an edge of a washer as a mate reference - Coincident&Concentric is useful. It provides me with both the coincident and the concentric constraint in one. I enjoy working with parts that has this set as a mate reference.

How does one get this same functionality with parts that do not have an appropriate edge, but do have a Datum Plane and a Datum Axis available as mate references.

Currently, when I add a part to an assembly - the concentric constraint works beautifully. However, my goal is to avoid having to manually create the coincident constraint after I insert my part.

-Thanks,
Frank
