Casting Software - FlowCast/SolidCast/OptiCast

Casting Software - FlowCast/SolidCast/OptiCast

(OP)
Is anyone familiar with using Finite Solutions's products? We are in the process of getting the FlowCast/SolidCast/OptiCast suite and I'd like to know what bugs/limitations it may have. For anyone that has used other casting simulation software, how does it compare to Magmasoft, et al? Additionally can anyone direct me to instructional resources for the product?

Thanks
lkrzyzan

RE: Casting Software - FlowCast/SolidCast/OptiCast

Look for some additional information about addable modules - price and possibilities. In general these software are related to Fe and Al casting. Solidifications may vary. Ask local casting guy for what purpose are you going to use this software. In general you won't be able to simulate all processes if you don't buy all needed modules- temperature fields, shrinkages, cavities, deformations.
