RE: Plywood Shear Wall

The questions you are asking are part of the entire design process. If you do not understand the design process, then you need to get local help, not from a forum.

RE: Plywood Shear Wall

macan1 - in looking at many of your past posts, you seem to be always looking for engineering direction from this site for very basic engineering questions as though you have no engineering training at all. If you aren't an engineer this site is not for you. You need to get direct engineering help and supervision.

RE: Plywood Shear Wall

I would recommend reading the ANSI/AF&PA SDPWS-2008. It is a free view only pdf download. You can get it at http://www.awc.org/Standards/SDPWS.html.
