Solidworks 2012 Toolbox

Solidworks 2012 Toolbox

Solidworks 2012 Toolbox

(OP)
Hi
I just instaled the new version of SW 2012. Before I used 2010 and I was always constructing with bolts and nuts that I saved (as copy) in a special folder of the particular assembly. When I open this assembly with the new version, SW automaticly changes the bolts and nuts with the ones from the toolbox. Version 2010 always asked if I want to exchange the features with the ones from toolbox, but this version does it without asking. In the past I have used the features directly from toolbox, but it often happened that the dimensions of features were messed up when I opened the assembly on a different PC.

Is there a way to save toolbox features as normal parts that would not be treated as toolbox features or is there a way to stop SW from automaticly generating toolbox features?

THNX

Hello Pina87,

Please reference the following post (scroll down to the reply from SMCADMAN

You should have an executable on your PC (.exe) called sldsetdocprop.exe. This will allow you to break the link and it should also change the icon from a bolt to a standard SW part icon.

Thank you for your help.
But it looks like this exe file is not working by me. When I first started it..it gave an error, that the zlib.dll is missing. I copied a zlib.dll file that I found in programfiles/Solidworks...folder to the folder with the exe file. Than it started. But it seem like it does not save the property change. When I open it again, it's always on YES.

Is there a special way to save this property or just update?

Thnx
