Using only part of a file name in a tabular note?

Using only part of a file name in a tabular note?

(OP)
Hi Guys

NX 7.5

We save our models in the format A123-45678B and then the drawings of the models are saved as A123-45678B-DRG. In this format the "B" is the revision number. I usually just use <W@$SH_PART_NAME>

Is there a way to get a note on the drawing that only says A123-45678 (which is basically the name of the model without the revision number) and then to get another note which shows only the "B" which would appear in the title block as the revsion number?

Thanks

Munners
