ASTM A439 D5 CTE
ASTM A439 D5 CTE
(OP)
Hello,
We have specified D5 for a component in a screw pump we have developed. It was selected primarily for the low CTE and corrosion resistance. My questions is 2 fold.. I have not found any source for the “published” CTE of the D5. What should it be (at around 450 F)? and what kind of CTE variation should I expect to see from pour to pour on this material (assuming the chemical and heat treat are all controlled well)?
Thanks
