Weld Symbol stub length

Weld Symbol stub length

Weld Symbol stub length

(OP)
I notice that when editing a Weld Symbol there is a blue arrow available (after clicking on the appropriate leader ID in the List box) for the Stub length, along with an input box that seems to be there to allow me to input the stub length. However, with new Weld Symbols, I am unable to change this stub length. I have a drawing that has been around (saved many times) for awhile and on that drawing, I can change the stub length just fine. Why won't it allow me to do it with NEW Weld Symbols - a bug?

Thanks,

I actually got one to work, but it was one of those where you get frustrated and starting clicking a myriad of things on the dialog and interface and it just starts to work - anyway, I cannot for the life of me figure out what I did. I was able to drag the stub with the blue arrow. Now it's not working again.

RE: Weld Symbol stub length

Jerry,

According to GTAC's Solution Center, the stub length Customer Default for Weld Symbols was removed in NX7.5 - effectively making it impossible to control it. All I see now is an ER for it, which I'm calling in to get my Sold-To attached to it so I can follow the progress of this. If it's something bugging you (like it does me) call GTAC and ask about ER 6618019. Squeaky wheel gets the oil.
