Advice on showing datums for this part.

Advice on showing datums for this part.

(OP)
Hi all

Hopefully you will be able to give me some advice on how to define the datums on the part in the attached image. Basically, the part clips into its mating part and sits on the flat surface that the clips protrude from. I have been looking at the part and thought about datum targets on the faces of the clips to define A & B and perpendicularity from those to define C on the flat surface. Then I wondered if I can use a width dimension on the single clip to define A and datum target points on the front faces of the other two clips to define B and the same C set up. Is a width dim legal on a feature that has draft? I am working to BS8888.

Any advice will be greatlly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

David.
