NX8 Attribute problem
NX8 Attribute problem
(OP)
I am having a problem with drawing attributes.
I created a boarder drawing file with attributes in the files properties for use in the title block. (ie CUSTOMER; DATE; SHRINKAGE; etc.)
In the title block I created text: <W@CUSTOMER>; <W@DATE> etc.
This works great.
In another file, I created the models needed and created the required drawing views and attributes.
I imported the drawing boarder and title block but the title block text did not change to the current attribute data.
In the boarder file the titlte block text changed to <WRef1*0@CUSTOMER>; <WRef1*0@DATE> etc.
In the part file, all the title block text was <WRef2*0@CUSTOMER>; WRef2*0@DATE>; etc.
I found that when I edited the text and deleted the Ref2*0 the text changed to the proper attribute values and when I went back to edit it, it was changed to <WRef1*0@CUSTOMER>; etc
This used to work in NX5 and did not have the Ref1*0 added to the text.
I would bring in the boarder/title block file and the title block text changed to the attribute values with no problems.
Is there a way to get this to work again, or am I just out of luck?
Thank you.

RE: NX8 Attribute problem
One work around I have found is to create a new sheet and all the attributes populate properly. Sheet one still maintains the "template" attributes. I then delete Sheet-1.

RAGudorf - That works, just a little cumbersome. Still waiting for the IR number.
JohnRBaker - Not acctually using a template, but will check that out and see if it works better. Will also check with 8.0.3.2
