MP-5104? With Respect To Rupture Discs

MP-5104? With Respect To Rupture Discs

MP-5104? With Respect To Rupture Discs

(OP)
Good afternoon,

I was reading through some material and have a rupture disc spec that says to "Manufacture Per MP-5104" (as seen here http://www.contdisc.com/IM_Uploads/Attatchment_74_...) but I can't find what this is referring to. Is MP-5104 a standard? A subsection of a standard? Any help would be appreciated.

Regards,
K

RE: MP-5104? With Respect To Rupture Discs

Hi kacarrol,

I work for another Rupture Disc manufacturer (Fike Corp) and am very familiar with all the applicable codes and standards however MP-5104 is not one I have seen. It is most likely an internal procedure from that manufacturer on how to manufacture the disc and holder.

Hope that helps,
Jeff

Jeff,

I'm glad to hear from someone in the industry that this number is unknown, after no luck with searches on IHS and google I just thought I'd do a sanity check on this forum.

Thank you for your help.

K
