Orientation NX7.5

I have used NX5 for some time, now using NX7.5

In NX5 you can use the oreint tool, to pick a face and the view will orientate itself to look at that view straight on, In NX7 I am having dificulties in doing so, it will not allow me to pick a face.??

RE: Orientation NX7.5

When you enter the...

View -> Operation -> Orient...

...dialog make sure the the 'Type' is set to 'Inferred'.

However, there is an alternative that you may find useful. Without being in a function, simply select the face of interest (you can use 'QuickPick' to select just the face) and then press the 'F8' key.

Thanks John!
The F8 quickpick works great. I also realized my master model was not the work part. We are using the Master Model concept in some of our new assemblies, so still taking some getting used to. That and there is definetely a difference between nx5 and nx7.5 unfortunately I don't have a class until September.
Again,
Thank you
