Flat Pattern Additional Text

Flat Pattern Additional Text

Flat Pattern Additional Text

(OP)
Hi guys

In NX7.5 I do a flat pattern from a sheetmetal part. After I replace the view to see the flat pattern, I add the text <W@$SH_PART_NAME> so that the file name appears on the pattern, this can then be marked during the plate cutting process.

When I do a drawing of all the flat patterns (a plate nest)I add each piece as its own view and use the model view "FLAT-PATTERN-X" but only the flat pattern data appears, not the text I added.

Even if I add the text to the FLAT-PATTERN-OBJECTS group it still does not appear.

Does anyone know how to make this work?

Thanks

Munners

RE: Flat Pattern Additional Text

Did some testing and if the flat pattern & drawing are in the same file, the annotation shows through in the drawing view.
However if you are using Master Model (which I assume you are), then it is as you say. We couldn't find a way to get it to appear.

I would suggest contacting your local support office wink to get them to log it to GTAC.
