Stainless for Fluorides
Stainless for Fluorides
(OP)
I am looking at a process tank for a metal pre-treatment containing "fluoride compounds" in the range of 5-10%, phosphoric acid in the range of 1-5% and hexafluorotitanic acid in the range of
1-5%. The bath will consist of 5% of this chemical in DI water. Bath runs at ambient temperature and there is pump agitation. Would 304 suffice for this tank or is something more exotic required?

This tank size would be ideal for FRP.
