embedded anchor bolt design
embedded anchor bolt design
(OP)
Are there any simple formulas for anchor bolt design.
I need to resist 2670lbs of uplift on each of 2 anchor bolts, with the other side 2 bolts having 2670 pounds of downward pressure.
Exist bolts are 15/16" diameter on threaded rod. Depth of embedment into 9' of embedded concrete is not known, but expected to be 36 to 48" minimum. Concrete is at least 3000PSI
Any guidance?

If you want an analytical solution, PCA has a Publication called "Strength Design of Anchorage to Concrete" that has extensive design formulae, but they're anything but simple.
