Hi
I want to use a composite cylinder even if no contact is made yet I already get an error saying:
***ERROR: Excessive incremental rotation of element number 151 of instance
CYLINDER-1.
For the composite shell I used the following:
*Shell Section, elset=CompositeLayup-1-1, composite, offset=SPOS, layup=CompositeLayup-1
0.0006, , ShellMaterial, 20., Ply-1
0.0006, , ShellMaterial, -20., Ply-2
0.0006, , ShellMaterial, 20., Ply-3
0.0006, , ShellMaterial, -20., Ply-4
0.0006, , ShellMaterial, 20., Ply-5
**
I think it might be because of the small angles, -20° and 20°, but I want to recreate an experiment
so I shouldn't change those angles. Also at the beginning of the simulation I get a warning that over
2Million increments will be needed. I find this strange because when I run the same model but with a
rigid constraint on the cylinder it takes only 2hours to simulate.
Does anybody knows what a solution might be to this problem?
Thank you in advance!
