Triple offset Butterfly Valve seal??

Triple offset Butterfly Valve seal??

Triple offset Butterfly Valve seal??

(OP)
All,

I work for a company that makes double offset butterfly valves. I am doing some research into the triple offset valves. The one thing I am unclear on is the laminate metal and graphite seal used by many of the companies; is this bonded in any mechanical or chemical manner? Is there a vendor that supplies sheet stock of this material or do the different valve companies each have their own process.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

No one out there is familiar with how they make/acquire these laminated flexible graphite seals?

This was my first post on this forum I guess I was just hoping for a little more feedback - anyway thanks for looking....

It's too bad you didn't get a reply; however, don't be too quick to give up on the forums.
Please consider that the current manufacturers are probably not to keen on giving away their trade secrets for free to a possible new competitor.

If you have a particular product in mind, you might want to look at their web site and ask for a copy of any information they have available. Maybe even buy a valve and examine it.

But I don't manufacture valves, so i can't help you.
