Easy Question

Easy Question

Easy Question

(OP)
I am rusty on my AutoCad. I am laying out a floorplan and need dimensions in inches. How can I select endless limits or scale down for a 500 in. x 500 in. drawing area? This is not like my usual solidworks lol

Thank you!

Michael

RE: Easy Question

Draw in model space at actual size.
Don't "scale" your model; it will just drive you crazy.

At the most fundamental level, AutoCAD is unitless; you can call the basic units inches or angstroms or mm or furlongs. There is a menu selection somewhere to select how it behaves with feet and inches and such; make sure you get that setting adjusted before you put much time in, or use a prototype drawing that's already set up.
