Updating iparts in one click, generate files automaticaly

Updating iparts in one click, generate files automaticaly

(OP)
Hello,

Is it possible to update all the ipart at once?
Example:

The length of a vertical rod changes by 20mm, so the rest of the vertical rods derived from that rod by ipart should also lengthen by 20mm. Now I have to click every single ipart to update the length. Would be nice if you could do that automaticaly in inventor 2011.

Thanks in advance!

RE: Updating iparts in one click, generate files automaticaly

Open the factory part
Expand the member table
Shift+select the entire list
Right click-> Generate Files

Not exactly one click, but entirely do-able.

iParts tend to be a bit funky with regards to VAULT, so if you use that, beware. You will likely have to check out all the children manually before it will generate each one. This is marginally improved in 2013 Versions, though.
