Good day guys! i would like to seek your expertise in API 8C Spec elongation requirements vs mill certs elongation. I find most suppler mill certs gave 31%-35% range which doesnt meet criteria of 23% from API 8C, shall i consider this for fabrication? thank you very much.

RE: API 5L % ELONGATION

In the API 65L specification, the elongation is a minimum. Typically, if your samples have more, they are more ductile which is typically a good thing. If they meet all the other strength and composition limits I see no reason to reject it.

Thank you very much for your reply. I find your info justifiable.
