(OP)
Hi all,

I am a noob at Abaqus and on composites. I am trying to make a simple simulation of a beam constrained on one side and a force on the other side. When I do this with an isotrope materiaal I don't get any problems with it. So I moved on to making a sandwich structure with a foam core with laminate on the top and bottom, the analysis runs and gives me results, but these results are not even close to my hand calculation. I assume that I am not building the model adequate.

My question is, are there any basic tutorials, guidelines or books I can use to help me find what I am doing wrong??

Any tips would be much appreciated!

Thx in advance!

Andrew
