I have two Columbia Ct steam boilers.They work togeather and feed from the same feed tank,no return. My sample are good but the no.2 boiler sample water is black, 1 is fine. No one has an answer for me can someone let me know what the problem might be with no.2

Rust- particularly magnetite.

I agree with cloa, the problem with your boiler is probably rust. How long have you been using your boiler no. 2?
