ABAQUS PDE problem

ABAQUS PDE problem

ABAQUS PDE problem

(OP)
Hello colleagues!

I'm having this weird problem in ABAQUS, every time i try to open the PDE interface, abaqus crashes and shuts-down. I never had this problem before ... i searched simulia page for possible solutions and the ones i've found so far are to modify abaqus graphics environment file which i already tried to do, but problem is still there. This is was my procedure:

1) changed the name of old graphicsConfig.env file
2) download and saved new graphicsConfig.env to the same folder

the only thing i haven't done was reseting permissions on graphicsConfig.env file... the command "% chmod 644 graphicsConfig.env" didn't work...

here is the error message from abaqus:

atxCaeSvr.ipcStart(True): <class 'socket.error'>: [Errno 10049]

Unexpected error 193
ipc_CONNECTION_BROKEN
Abaqus Error: Abaqus/CAE Kernel exited with an error.

any ideas on how i can work this out?

Thank you

Turned off almost every graphics acceleration but still crashes....

RE: ABAQUS PDE problem

@NunMPG: I am facing the same problem. Abaqus is exiting an error code 193. Did you find solution for the problem? Please let me know if you have found any work around.

Thank you

Hi GeotechNath,

I think it had something to do with the proxy i was using to connect to college wireless lan... try to close or allow abaqus thru your firewall, see if you're using any proxy servers... i also found this on the web: http://forum.cadec-online.com/viewtopic.php?t=5&am... try it to see if it solves your problem.

Cheers
