Generator question

(OP)
Looking to buy a good generator/welder. Mostly for emergency use but want it to have enough power so I don't have the hassle of unplugging and plugging stuff in. Thought the additional welding option was cool - I can always use another welder!

Any suggestions for one?

RE: Generator question

I liked my Miller Big 50.  Quiet, great welding machine for stick and constant voltage demands of wire .  Very fuel efficient in daily use.  240v and 115v outlets.  A little expensive but, you did not quantify or qualify your needs.
